Pakistan is a country of villages and the concept of developing this country without taking into consideration, the development of the rural areas is meaningless. Rural development is the need of the hour as majority of the population lives in villages.
Integrated Rural Development Council (IRDC) came into being in year 2001 with the vision to overcome poverty and injustice while strengthening sustainable development among the deprived rural communities. Since then we are focusing on the issues of rural and agricultural development.
We, at IRDC mainly work on the socio- economic empowerment of target groups. These target groups include small farmers, landless casual wage labourers, farm workers, tenants, disables, women and women headed households because majority of these people live below poverty line.
